Guidelines: The Ashland County Commissioners, who are the house numbering authority for Ashland County, have contracted the Ashland County Engineer to assign house numbers on all federal, state, county and township roads in the unincorporated areas of the county. House numbers are based on a grid system and are assigned to specific driveway entrance locations. Numbers are determined by field measurement of the grid location, so the driveway entrance must be under construction or the location clearly marked. House number requests may be taken over the phone or by downloading, completing and mailing the form below. Be prepared to give a detailed description of the driveway location including distance to nearest road intersection, house numbers of close neighbors, description of the site and any unique landmarks. There is no fee for this service.
