Who we are:
Heartland Home is a provider of assisted living/custodial care.
A licensed residential care facility, inspected and licensed by the Ohio Department
of Health, inspected and approved by the state fire marshall, the county sanitarian,
the state auditor's office, EPA ground water monitoring and public water works
division. Our boilers and elevators are also state inspected.
We have a resident's council, which meets monthly and addresses any special needs and concerns. Department supervisors also meet monthly to discuss quality assurance and safety issues.
Although celebrating over 29 years, Heartland Home is one of
the newest county operated homes in the state. Heartland Home's administrators
have always been very active in the Ohio County Home Association. The success
of Heartland Home is due to the efforts over the years of the Ashland County
Board of Commissioners, the administrators, and their staff, the residents and
their families, and the support of numerous county businesses and families.
