August is Child Support Awareness month

The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that 23.4 million children between zero and twenty years of age live with a custodial parent while their other parent lives somewhere else.  Yet, less than one-half of custodial parents have child support agreements and, of those, only 43.4% receive full payment each month.  To draw attention to the situation, August was proclaimed National Child Support Awarement Month by President Clinton in 1995.
