Fingerprinting Hours and Costs

 Hours for fingerprinting are as follows:

 Wednesday: 6:00pm to 9:00pm

 Thursday:     1:00pm to 4:00pm

 Saturday:      10:00am to 2:00pm

Fingerprints for all background checks are now done electronically. Fees for background checks will be collected at the Sheriff's Office at the time of the fingerprinting, rather than being sent to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The Sheriff's Office will only accept cash or money orders in the exact amount. No credit cards or personal checks will be accepted and we will continue to charge a $ 5.00 fee for this service.

 As of 1 August 2009 costs are as follows:

•   FBI background check $ 26.00

•   BCI/FBI background check for residency of less than 5 years or required

                   by statute: $ 51.00

• Finger Printing on hard cards $ 5.00

Concealed Carry Applicants

 Applications will be accepted for concealed carry permits on Monday thru Friday from

8:00am until 4:00pm. No appointment is necessary for emergency permits.

•  Residents living in Ohio for 5 or more years :...................$ 67.00

•  Residents living in Ohio for less than 5 years :..................$ 91.00

• License Renewal Fee :.....................................................$ 50.00

• Emergency or Temporary Permit (5 Year Residency):.......$37.00

• Emergency or Temporary Permit (Less than 5 years) :.......$61.00

• Replacement (Lost or Stolen) : .........................................$15.00
