The Communications center for Ashland Combined Dispatch consists of fifteen (15) full-time dispatchers and several part-time dispatchers. The enhanced E-911 telephone service and WE-911 Service (Wireless 9-1-1), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) is used by this agency to assist in efficient dispatching. The Communications Division is responsible for taking calls for service including E-911 calls from the public, other agencies and dispatching the appropriate law enforcement, fire, or medical personnel to handle various situations. This includes Ashland County Sheriff's Office, Ashland Police Department, Hayesville P.D., Mifflin P.D., and Perrysville P.D., Ashland City Fire Department, Village Fire Departments of Hayesville, Mifflin, Nankin, Jeromesville, Ruggles Troy, Savannah, Polk, and Sullivan.

We are proud to say that dispatchers are trained in the Emergency Medical Dispatch whereas they can assist people who call E-911. These dispatchers will follow a flip-chart while asking questions to determine what emergency service is needed. This is an important asset to the community.
