The Detective bureau has three investigators and a secretary assigned to it. The bureau conducts follow up investigations on most criminal complaints taken by the uniform division. In 2008 the bureau worked 807 criminal cases. Our Detectives work extremely close with the other agencies in and around Ashland county. The Sheriff’s office is a participating member of the METRICH DRUG task force. Detectives from this agency work hand-in-hand with investigators from the other 10 participating counties that are members of this force.
