In 1997, Ohio enacted a sexual offender registration law. This law
requires certain designated categories of convicted sex offenders to
register with the Sheriff's Office in the county where they live. Some
sex offenders who were convicted before 1997 are NOT legally required
to register and others may fail to register as required by law. Furthermore,
some convicted sex offenders may move into Ashland County from other
states or counties and fail to register with our Office. Therefore,
this web site may NOT contain a list of ALL individuals residing in
Ashland County who have been convicted of sex offenses. The information
contained on this web page is updated routinely as the information is
received by our office. Every effort is made to assure the accuracy
of the information. Anyone having information concerning the whereabouts
of a sex offender that conflicts with the information on this web page
is requested to call our Office at (419) 289-3911 and report the discrepancy.
