Sheriff Sales are held on Monday afternoon promptly at 4:15 p.m. in the
lobby of the Ashland County Sheriff's Office at 1205
E. Main Street, Ashland, OH. All sales are pursuant to the provision
of the Ohio Revised Code.
Sales are published in the Ashland Times Gazette, Ashland, OH in the classified section in Thursday's edition. Sales are published 3 times prior to sale.
Terms of the sale are 10% down at time of sale and balance upon receipt of confirmation entry. Deed to be delivered after recorded. All bids begin at 2/3 of the appraised value of the property, Payments must be made by Personal Check or Certified Bank Check. Deposits are not refunded.
Plaintiffs are now required to make a 1% deposit based on the appraised value of the property and are required to submit a completed Purchaser Information Form on the day of the sale.

All sales are as is or "buyer beware" and properties are not open
for inspection at any time prior to sale,
furthermore, unless otherwise noted, all properties are appraised from the outside as we also are unable to inspect the insides in most cases.
The Civil Office cannot give legal advise as to any possible further costs in recording Deed, tax information, etc. Any legal questions need to be answered by an attorney.
A buyer does not take occupancy until confirmation, payment of Sale in full and recording of Deed. If there is any further information needed contact The Ashland County Sheriff's Office - Civil Division at (419) 289-1501 or (419) 289-8942.
FORECLOSURE OF LEINS FOR DELINQUENT LAND TAXES
Tax sales will be designated with asterisks, (**) Pursuant to Ohio Revised Codes 57219 and 9572.191 tax sales will be sold without appraisals to the highest bidder of an amount sufficient to satisfy the judgment against each parcel plus costs to be determined at the day of the sale.
Tax Lien Foreclosures will be offered for sale at the first sale date advertised; if not sold will be offered at the same place and same time two weeks later. Properties purchased at a Tax Lein Foreclosure will be paid for in *PERSONAL CHECKS OR CASHIERS CHECK ONLY*. The total amount of the judgment plus costs will be collected at the time of the sale, and the buyer will have 30 days to have financing for the remaining amount of the purchase price.
