RECYCLING IN ASHLAND COUNTY
The Ashland County Recycling Center in conjunction with the Ashland County Solid Waste Distrtict is responsible for several types of recycling programs - and also serves as a source of information about recycling. We work with residents, businesses and industries to encourage, promote and facilitate proper recycling.
HOW RECYCLING HELPS
Recycling is important to our present and our future because:
- when manufacturers use recycled materials instead of new, earth's natural resources are preserved for future generations
- when we recycle discarded materials instead of just throwing them away, we help conserve energy and valuable landfill space
- in other words, if we put forth the effort to use these valuable resources wisely rather than wasting them, our enviornment will be better off

Once the audit is complete, the center will make recommendations on materials to be recycled, how to prep and store them, and pickup / delivery options.
Firms wishing to reduce the amount of material they send to the landfill, reduce their waste disposal expenses and in some cases be paid for their waste material should contact the center at 419-289-7382.
