Michael J. Callow, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Mike brings 27 years of legal experience to this position. His experience in private practice concentrated on criminal, civil, and domestic litigation. Mike has worked in courtrooms all over northeast Ohio including appearing in the Ohio Supreme Court, in 5 Ohio Courts of Appeals, in over 25 courts of common pleas, and in 25 municipal courts. He has made appearances in both the Northern and Southern Federal District Courts in Ohio.

Mike has volunteered and served as the president of the Medina County Bar Association, executive board of the Medina County Bar Association, Chair of the Litigation Section of the Ohio State Bar Association, and in many other elected and appointed positions in the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Medina County Bar Association, Cleveland Bar Association, Akron Bar Association, and Mahoning County Bar Association.

Mike is a graduate of Midpark High School in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and the University of Akron School of Law, in Akron, Ohio. He has volunteered as a college, high school, and youth sports coach for 20 years including football, baseball, softball, basketball, and lacrosse. He is married to his wife Julie and they are blessed with 6 kids, 2 grandkids, and 2 golden doodles which keeps them very active.
