Tony L. Shambaugh, Chief Investigator
Tony currently serves as the chief investigator in the Prosecutor's Office. His current duties include reviewing initial police investigations on felony crimes when they are presented to the office from a variety of law enforcement agencies and working with the staff's attorneys to prepare cases for Grand Jury and trials. As an Ashland native, Tony graduated from Ashland University in 2006, with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Tony was a member of the National Honors Society in Criminal Justice. Tony joined the Ashland County Prosecutor's Office in 2007. Tony and his wife have two children.
Alissa Schmidt, Investigator
Alissa joined the Ashland County Prosecutor’s Office in January 2023. Alissa’s responsibilities include preparing legal pleadings and administrative functions for Juvenile Delinquencies, Children Services Division, Civil matters, and other duties as assigned. Alissa graduated from Tiffin University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice. Alissa lives in Ashland with her husband, Chris and their 2 children.
