County Road Closings

*EMERGENCY* County Road 1950 is closed between County Road 175 and County Road 15. 

*IN PROGRESS* A portion of County Road 175 in Lake Township will be closed Wednesday, April 24th through Friday, April 26th for a culvert replacement.  The road will be closed between County Road 2575 and Township Road 2450.  More specifically between County Road 2575 and House # 2499.  It is anticipated that the road will reopen by 4:00 pm,  Friday, April 26th.

**IN PROGRESS* Crider Road, between Koogle Road and State Route 603 in Mifflin Township, will be closed starting Monday, December 4, 2023, for a bridge replacement project.  The road is currently scheduled to reopen on July 31, 2024.  The posted detour route will utilize Koogle Road, US Route 30, and State Route 603.

Culvert inspections resulted in the following list of culverts to be replaced or rehabilitated.  Emergencies, weather situations, and engineering judgment may alter this list.

Bridge 1356-1021
Description: Replacement. Complete road closure, detours will be marked.
Location: West Main Street, City of Ashland
Estimated construction timeframe: 2 - 3 months project
Funding:  Up to $500,000 Ohio Public Works. All other costs to be paid by Ashland County.
Work:  To be performed by Adena chosen by competitive bid process.

Guardrail – 2024
Description: Install new and upgrade existing guardrail to meet current standards on select sections of Ashland County-maintained roads.
Funding: 100% HSIP funds first $300,000; 100% Local funds any over $300,000
Estimated construction timeframe: Summer 2024
Work to be performed by Lake Erie Construction chosen by competitive bid process.
Traffic will be maintained at construction sites. 
Most sites will be affected for less than 1 day.

Work:  To be performed by a Contractor determined by competitive bid process.
